When it becomes necessary to trim your
organisation it is important to make sure that it is not just a cost
cutting excercise but that the company emerges stronger to meet the
new market challenges.
At GB Management Consultants we recognise this and can provide a
full range of support which includes supporting management through
the process, providing support for those who are staying and support
for those who are leaving to find new opportunities.
The different elements can be combined to create a custom solution
that meets your needs and budget. Some of our innovative solutions
are shown on the left while the details below explain the areas
where we can help. |

Support
for the organisation
- We can help you prepare for the redundancies to ensure that
you keep important skills and can function after the event. This
may also require planning how to maintain levels of service with
a reduced head count.
- We can be there alongside you when the announcement is made
to show that you are providing support for everyone and that
that support is immediately available.
- Remaining staff can be provided counselling if they have
problems with redundancy of their colleagues and also with
training to enable them to take on the tasks which may have been
done by others.
- We can help you with all elements of communication necessary
to ensure that the process goes smoothly with the minimum
disruption to your business.
Support for the Individual
We can help Individuals who have been made redundant to find
new work by:
- Advice and guidance on preparing CVs
- Assistance with job Applications.
- Interview skills training.
- Introduction to sources of jobs including the Internet.
- Development of personal skills to improve employability.
- Psychometric assessments to identify strengths and
weaknesses.
- Introduction to sources of retraining.
- Counselling to enable a positive view of the situation.
- Group workshops to provide mutual support.
